Big dreams?

The new year is approaching quickly, and I still can't believe it! We've started decorating the house, we are going on our tree hunt this weekend and also seeing Santa so I know it's the season. That also makes me realize that we are really close to 2012 and my upcoming race calendar.

As of right now, I am actually only registered for two races; a half marathon in March and my second full marathon in May. I also have my eye on my first triathlon, a women's only sprint in July if I can manage some swim training. 

2011 was a HUGE year for me goal wise. I beat all big goals I set, which brings me to 2012:

My latest "Dreams" or goals are freaking me out! I am not ready to publicly discuss exact numbers, but let's just say that I have specific time goals for both the half and full that will make me work extremely hard for the next 6 months.  Go BIG or go home, right? At this point, I'm thinking that it's better to try and fail than to not even try. Hopefully I still feel the same way if I don't meet these goals!

  2. Want to do my 1st half in March. After yesterday's 7.28 run, I am terrified! That was tough so how will I handle another 6 miles added to that?

    It is absolutely better to try and fail than to never try. You're made of tough stuff. You'll learn a lot about yourself this year.

  4. I haven't thought too much about goals...but I want to. I think I want to set a mileage goal for 2012, something I've never done before. And I would LOVE to get as close to a 2hr half as I can. With a lot of hard work, I think I could do it. (2:09 is my current PR)
